virginity

i havE always been told that when you lose virginity, you bleed, it was my first time, i asked my partner not to penetrate too hard,I wasafraid i was going to hurt, i did not bleed, but later on i had spotting, my partner suspects that i am not a virgin but i know i am, can you explain why i didn't bleed.

"Virginity" in this aspect is usually based on a membrane in the vagina called the hymen (I would suggest looking this term up to clear up any further questions) but this is initially the part of the vagina that people are talking about when someone's "cherry is popped" but it is a poor resource when determining whether or not someone is actually a virgin.
Depending on how well intact it is, bleeding may or may not occur, either is normal.
The hymen sometimes naturally breaks on it's own which is why it's a poor determination of virginity.
In your case I would suspect that your hymen was less intact which caused less bleeding, that's all. There really is no reliable physical trait that can determine virginity, you either had sex or didn't have sex.
If he can't believe you with something as simple as telling him you're actually a virgin (as long as you were honest) then I dont see what business he had being inside of you, really.
