Stroking doesn't work for me

I am an 18 year old female, virgin, no boyfriend.

I have been masturbating for around a year now (a bit of a late bloomer) and I am having a problem. Stroking my clitoris never seems to umm, 'stimulate' me. I have never used a toy before either. The only way I can get any kind of stimulation is by 'humping' a pillow. Its like I need to move my whole body or nothing happens. Is there something wrong with me? Or am I doing something wrong?
